How To Turn a Dream Into Reality

How do you turn a dream into reality?

What makes a dream turn into reality?

Do you know the difference between a dream and a goal? Lots of people consider a dream is the same as a goal. You may set yourself a goal of making one thousand sales a month of your latest newly created product or may be getting more opt ins on to your email subscribers list. Both of these examples are desirable and may at first glance appear to be goals but they aren’t. What they are in fact is dreams. Dreams are a good thing to have but goals are much more useful.  So you are probably wondering why these aren’t goals and if they aren’t then what is a goal. I will now explain the difference…

A goal is something that you are capable of making happen. Saying that you are going to lose weight is a goal, although it is a very unclear one. The reason being is that you have full control over everything that is required to make the losing of weight a reality.  On the other hand making an extra one thousand sales a month of your latest newly created product is not something that you have full control over. You are not able to guarantee that you will make the required number of sales because you can’t make people purchase the new product. You can have a lot of influence if you are skilled at copywriting, marketing and sales and you can make assumptions based on past data but you can’t completely have control over the outcome.

Having a number of dreams and also goals is something that is desirable and recommended however you do need to be able to know the difference between them both. When you don’t know the difference and you fail to achieve your dreams which may have been unrealistic this will clearly disillusion you and is likely to affect your future drive to succeed. To prevent this, your goals ought to support the dreams that you have.  This is done by breaking your dreams which you are not able to control into smaller achievable chunks that you can have control over. So if you have a dream of making one thousand sales a month of your latest newly created product then your goal could be to generate blogs every day to drive traffic to your sales page. Or you could buy a course and learn how to get cheap pay per click traffic to your website each day. Both of these are goals that support your dream and they will facilitate you achieving your dreams and make them more likely.

The achieving of a goal will need more than just visualizing the required outcome. As an example I have set myself a goal of writing a new blog post every day. In fact this is one example of me doing this. By doing this I will be able to reach my dream but this is only achievable by taking action and being dedicated to the goals.
